Craig County Courthouse - Vinita, Oklahoma
The Craig County Courthouse is located at 210 W. Delaware in Vinita, Oklahoma. It is a two-story building sitting in South Park.
Courtrooms
There are two courtrooms, both are located upstairs. Associate District Judge Gary Maxey holds court in the first courtroom which is located to the left as you come up the stairs or directly across the hall as you come out of the elevator. Initial appearances are usually held in this courtroom every Wednesday at 1:30. This schedule does change frequently so be sure to double check dates and times for all court appearances.
There is a second courtroom upstairs located behind the stairwell or across and to the left as you exit the elevator. This courtroom is used by one of the District Judges, Terry McBride, Dynda Post, or Dewayne Steidley or by Special District Judges Erin Oquin and Becky Gore. This courtroom usually has the juvenile deprived, small claims, district court arraignment, and preliminary hearing dockets.
Other Offices
The Craig County Court Clerk is located upstairs across the hall from Judge Maxey's Courtroom. The District Attorney's office is located upstairs across from Courtroom #2. The Assessor's office as well as land records and the Craig County Clerk's offices are located downstairs.
